It’s one of historic measure. We as a country are at war, the economy is tanking, and for the first time in the country’s history an African American is the candidate of choice for a major political party.
Do you really want to be left sitting on the sideline for this one?
We aren’t going to tell you who to vote for, that’s a decision you have to make for yourself. But when you do go out and vote, don’t just stop at the top of the ticket. Educate yourself, and select a candidate for every race in your district this year.
Send a message to the city’s politicians and those with political aspirations that the voters of New York City aren’t apathetic. That it just won’t pay anymore to preach to the choir and pander to their base to win a seat in this city.
When you go out to the polls this Tuesday because of all of the important issues facing our city as a whole, make it the start of a tradition of voting that carries over into every election.
