It’s not everyday that a restaurant turns 25, but add another century to that number and you’ve got something really special.

Teddy’s Bar and Grill, located at 96 Berry St. and North 8th St. in Williamsburg, will be celebrating its 125th anniversary with three nights of festivities from Thurs., Oct. 18 to Sat., Oct. 20, with all events starting at 8 p.m.

Opening in 1887 as an outpost for Peter Doelger’s Brewery franchise, the business has been operated by six different families over its lifetime. In 1987, Teddy’s Bar & Grill opened in current Victorian-style structure.

“It’s an honor and a lot of work to run a business for 25 years,” said Felice Kirby, who along with Glenn Kirby and Lee Ornati, has owned and operated this version of Teddy's since its opening.

“We wanted to reach out to new comers and there was room for a possible neighborhood place that welcomed traditional community and new people—basically all walks of life,” she said.

Kirby said Teddy’s has also transformed into a great location for live musical performances.

Teddy’s publicist Eva Dilmanian has been helping spread the word about the event through Facebook and other social media forms. “We’re excited to see our regulars, but of course, we always love to have new faces,” she said.

The first night of events features visits from Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Brooklyn Brewery owner Steve Hindy, as well as musical performances by DJ Strafe and the Tim Clement Trio.

The bar will also make available commemorative bottles of Peter Doelger Beer with the old brewery’s original label, including limited edition Brooklyn Oenology sparkling wine.

Friday's activities include Shot@Teddy’s, a popcorn and beer-filled film festival featuring movies and television shows that were filmed at Teddy’s, including “King of New York,” “P.S. I Love You” and episodes of “Boardwalk Empire” and “The Good Wife.”

Festivities wrap up on Saturday with Met@Teddy’s, including a special thanks to regular customers, past employees and those that have kept the place going.

With no admission, Kirby said she encourages people to make it out and see what Teddy’s Bar & Grill is all about, in case you haven’t already.

“We’ve got a lot planned,” Kirby said.
